Bond Falls is one of those “best kept secret” spots on the Western Upper Peninsula that you want to make sure you do not miss. This beautiful water fall is located on the middle branch of the Ontonagon River near Paulding. Although it does not get the “press” of more famous U.P. water falls, Bond Falls has a large following of admirers and had even been part of a calendar listing the most scenic natural places in the world!

Superior Falls - Extremely beautiful gorge. Access is moderately easy. Directions: From Hwy US 2 in Ironwood. Go North on Lake Rd. This is approximately 25 mile drive. You will see a marker on the road that says Superior Falls. Turn north (right) on that gravel road. Continue down the small hill to the parking lot. Walk down the road to the River Mouth and Lake Superior. Then walk upstream 1/3 mile to Superior Falls. Superior Dam Falls is a little further upstream. If you have time, stop at Little Girls Point Park for a picnic. You will see this park on Lake Road on your way to the Falls.

Superior Falls is a waterfall situated on the Montreal River, which forms the border between Iron County, Wisconsin and Gogebic County, Michigan. The falls drop 90 feet before the Montreal River empties into Lake Superior at Oronto Bay. In the spring of 2006, extreme kayak competitor, Tao Berman launched himself out of a helicopter and kayaked over the chaotic currents. His efforts were showcased on an August episode of the Discovery Channel's series, Stunt Junkies: Go Big or Go Home, entitled &quot;Kayak Plunge&quot;...

The river forms the state line with Wisconsin. It's one of the most dramatic waterfalls in Michigan. Here the river is narrower, only 30 feet wide, wedged between steep rock walls of a deep gorge over a hundred feet down from the visitor's vantage point. The river turns into a thundering column of foam, some 40 feet straight down, which soon settles into a quiet pool, turns, and flows between those towering and steep gorge walls. The fracture lines go almost straight up and down, powerful testimony to the tremendous forces of uplift and tilting from the earth's early time (from Hunt's Guide To Michigan's Upper Peninsula). Best viewed LARGE. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/12946248@N02/2679775769/">view&nbsp;on&nbsp;flickr&raquo;</a>" rel="lightbox[7799994a7d2ac952d2f0b7c965307c21]"><a href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2240/2267185365_b9c03eb5ea.jpg" class="flickr" title="agate falls, we stopped here last year, but only stayed on the tourist friendly trail/lookout, and we weren't that impressed by the view offered.

Please respect the power and hidden dangers of this turbulent and beautiful river. The park includes a picnic, camping, and parking area. There are numerous other waterfalls within the Porcupine Mountains State Parks interior. For more information on these waterfalls you can reach the park office at 906-885- 5275

Directions: Just outside of Wakefield on Hwy M28 take Cty Rd 519 North up a incline. Follow that road! When you come to South Boundary Rd keep going straight (This will lead you to the park). Please take your time and enjoy the view. This road is approximately 22 miles long.

Manabezho Falls - This is a very wide beautiful waterfall with an extremely large drop. Easily - accessible and very few steps.

Manido Falls - This waterfall is a short additional walk from Manabezho Falls. It is smaller than Manabezho Falls, but proves to be just as wide and photogenic.

Nawadaha Falls - This Waterfall is an additional short walk from Manido Falls. The rapid current will be sure to grab your attention.

On those cold, snowy winter days, when a hot cup of coco and some cookies are what we want, enjoy them while checking out the new HO scale model railroad being built at the Inn.

The continuing restoration of an early mining village includes a wealth of historical items, located in cabins depicting the early mining days. A scenic trail along nearby bluffs offers a view of the area’s only hydroelectric dam. Nearby are the sites where the “Copper Boulder,” now housed in the Smithsonian Institution, was found, as well as the location of the Taylor Hydraulic Air Compressor. This device, which is now under water, once provided ample, reliable pneumatic power to the Victoria Mines. There is a one day craft fair on the third Sunday in August. Open 11:30am - 5:30pm Memorial Day weekend - mid October. Location: From US 45 in Rockland, 4miles West on Victoria Road. Please contact (906) 886-2617 for more information.
